Description

Advantage Resourcing is partnered with a leading UK University, located in London. We require applicants to apply for a Teaching Administrator working in the school of Environment, Energy and Resources.

 

This will be a remote initially/central London based contract at the PAYE Rate of £15.32 per hour. This will be joining a team supporting 9 MSc programmes and the launch of two additional programmes in September. The assignment is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the second week of October (approximately 6 months)

 

Working under the direction of the Senior Teaching Administrator and in conjunction with academic and administrative staff, the post holder will provide specialist administration to designated teaching programmes.

 

They will provide effective support for the teaching and learning activities of taught postgraduate students throughout the duration of their programme, from enquiry to graduation. The post holder will support a wide range of processes including timetabling, organising assessments and maintaining student and programme records.

This is a front-facing role – the post holder will interact with and deliver an outstanding customer service on a daily basis to prospective students, academic staff, students and alumni.

 

The priorities for this person will be providing general support to the team, including:

  • Processing payments and right to work checks
  • Processing engagement monitoring
  • Extensive Moodle work (preparing handbooks for 2021-22)
  • Answering student and applicant queries
  • Potentially making arrangements (travel etc) for field trips)

Ideally candidates will have worked in a University/Teaching administration role previously and have the following skills:

  • Assisting with board of examiners preparation (Advanced excel skills including v-lookup and experience on PORTICO / SITS desirable
  • Timetabling (CMIS skills desirable)

The person would work remotely in the first instance but could reasonably expect to come into the office over the summer (subject to policies at the time).
