World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire (the role will be 60% working onsite and 40% working from home) is currently looking to recruit a System Administrator.

This role could suit a candidate who comes from a strong Administrator / Technical Administrator background



Contract Duration: until the end of November 2021 (likely to be extended)

Hourly Rate: The Company are offering excellent rates 


Security Information:  Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).

System Administrator Job Description:

To assist the FM Commercial Team. Mainly supporting the reliability and delivery of Planon (CAFM tool) to Facilities Management and Core Business. 


  • Support the FM Senior Facilities Officer with the development and maintenance of Planon upgrades, patch works and business cases.
  • Review the integrity, availability and reliability of data inputted to all Planon modules on a daily basis.
  • Support the building and delivery of in-house Planon training.
  • Champion the use of best practice of the Planon system into FM business, its suppliers and customers across the UK sites in order to enhance the accuracy and speed of information available.
  • Assist in the introduction of Planon processes that ensure that Planon and its reports remain accurate.
  • Update / create the daily administration of user groups
  • Update / create the daily administration of function profiles
  • Implementation and creation of new reports
  • Building and developing the exportable information in Planon
  • Daily interrogation and fault-finding and implementing fixes.
  • Liaising / supporting all stakeholders within Planon utilisation
  • Maintaining the information in current reports and future reports
  • Ensuring the reliability and consistency of data presented
  • Prioritising workload
  • Acquiring knowledge to support the FM Commercial Team
  • Manage information to provide timely and accurate reports
  • Providing a customer focused service delivery culture.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels regardless of circumstances.

  • Good understanding of policies, standards and strategies.
  • Understanding and competency in relevant software packages (Planon, SHE, Excel, Word. PowerPoint or equivalent).
  • Understanding of requirements to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Good understanding of Facilities Management activities.
