Quant Developer (Python essential)

Fantastic opportunity for a Quant Developer with Python experience to join a growing energy trading team in London, working with an established Global Trading organisation.  
The main responsibility of the role is to support with the Deal Structurers work in continuous development and maintenance of a state-of-the-art quantitative library as a basis for the standard valuation and risk assessment tools that are used within the Deal Structuring team as well as by the business, while being accountable for the technical implementation and maintenance of the internal library.

Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Deal Structurers to create concepts and tools to value exotic energy derivatives and manage acquired structured positions as a portfolio.
2. Develop, code and maintain state-of-the-art internal Deal Structuring pricing and risk management library.
3. Improve and develop new data retrieving and management tools for the Deal Structuring team.
4. Collaborate with Deal Structurers, business and IT to develop, maintain and support pricing and analytics tools for the business (e.g. pricing engines for storages or portfolio management tools).
5. Maintain close, collaborative relationships with the wider internal quantitative community and other internal partners (e.g. IT department).

We require a creative individual with excellent analytical/numerical and interpersonal skills. Working under tight deadlines and conflicting pressures, you will prove able to continue delivering to an excellent standard, with clear focus on the priorities in hand. 

Requirements 
1. Master or PhD in a quantitative subject, ideally Quantitative Finance. 
2. Demonstrable experience as a quant developer or quant analyst with experience in a trading environment. 
3. Expert in Python coding and familiarity with standard Python packages. 
4. Experience deploying Python based solutions to end users. 
5. Experience in developing pricing/risk engines and participating in complex projects. 
6. Good interpersonal skills, both with team colleagues and across teams. 

Highly desirable (in addition to the above)
1. Experience with tensorflow 
2. Experience with energy commodities, power, gas and environmental products highly beneficial 
3. Experience in working in a front office environment and managing the relationship with different stakeholders
