Advantage Resourcing are working closely with a well-established airline recruiting for a Sustainability Director in a newly created role on a contract basis to come on board and join their dynamic team.

In this newly created position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our airline sustainability strategy across Europe. You will be working alongside other teams to provide support and counsel, and ensure our strategies are aligned.
> Develop an impactful sustainability strategy for the Airline to mitigate risk and create commercial opportunity through environmental and social sustainability principles, taking into account the differing challenges and priorities across Europe.
> Carry out industry benchmarks and participate in industry and governmental round tables to identify and implement responses to emerging sustainability trends
> Identify and prioritise focus areas for sustainability
> Embed and integrate the full agenda into the overall business strategy
> Develop sustainability reports and communications for key internal and external stakeholders
> Embed sustainability into projects and programmes to manage risk and deliver value solutions as an integral part of design and delivery teams
> Represent the business through speaking & media engagements acting as a spokesperson on all sustainability matters
Key Skills Required
> Experience in sustainability management, including environmental, carbon and resources management, either within a business or consulting environment
> Demonstrable experience of advising organisations about sustainability issues, risks and potential ways to optimise business and integrating sustainability and environmental management at programme and project level
> Knowledge of current and anticipated environmental, carbon and energy policy and legislation and how this can apply to organisations and projects
> A track record of developing business cases for sustainability strategies
> A natural problem solver; able to drive external consultation and support customers with challenging and strategic sustainability issues
> Ability to manage media and represent business as a company spokesperson on all sustainability issues
