London
£23 - £27.83 per hour
Contract to start ASAP for 12 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Projects Manager to join a leading International organisation in London.

In this key role you’ll support the Payroll Operations, Security & Compliance Manager and work with the UKI Payroll Associate Manager on an interim basis to provide additional senior level capacity and deliver key projects and programmes including V&A deals, systems development and changes, tenders, continuous improvement, process documentation and efficient payroll operation, ensuring that all employees in the UK and Ireland are paid on time.

Duties include

Work with the business and UKI Associate Manager on V&A/TUPE deals (transferring of staff to the business) ensuring work is compliant with company processes and protocols and statutory requirements, on time, and keeping all key stakeholders up-to-date on progress and information requirements. 

 

Take full accountability for managing designated projects through to completion on time and within scope and agreed budget, where appropriate, keeping all stakeholders up-to-date and ensuring that organisational learnings from managing the projects is transferred into the Payroll team. 

 

Scope, plan and deliver a programme of thorough process documentation for the UKI payrolls, agreeing the overall programme with the UKI Payroll Associate Manager, managing the project through to completion with regular project updates, brief/train the Payroll Team in documentation content and set up a system for regular reviews of process documentation and training. 

 

Scope, plan and deliver a programme and process for Payroll continuous improvement, managing projects through to completion and establishing and agreeing an on-going approach for the future. 

Key skills and experience required

Extensive experience managing high volume payroll
Up to date knowledge of payroll best practice, legislation and regulation, tax compliance, TUPE, V&As, redundancy calculations, severance tax requirements, sickness absence, maternity pay, etc
Experienced in and knowledge of payroll systems
Flexible, adaptable and attentive to detail
Project management skills and experience of managing payroll projects
Experience of developing and implementing continuous improvement within the payroll function
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Experience working with information security and governance processes and adherence to Information Security and Governance requirements
CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification and membership desirable
Knowledge of Irish Payroll is desirable, however this is not essential and training will be provided
