Corporate Social Responsibility

As an Investors in People company, we have always placed people at the heart of what we do, both from a business and personal perspective.
Social responsibility and sustainability is about our planet and people. We as a company have a responsibility to contribute to a safe, fair and healthy planet by contributing to the environment and society through all our activities.
This policy provides information on our guiding principles and the themes of our sustainability activities.

As a provider of HR and staffing services, we fulfil a particularly important role in society. We focus on creating new value for society in order to contribute to a brighter world where all individuals, all people, can live life to the fullest.

Policy Statement

Since the foundation in 1960 of Recruit, RGF have developed our business so it can contribute to a world in which people can follow their hearts. They have achieved further enhancement and expanded both our influence on society and our responsibility as a corporate citizen.

Seeking a sustainable world of plenty, we contribute to society through all our activities. To do this, we support the long-term view in addressing social issues, committing ourselves to three guiding principles and five core themes.

Our Guiding Principles

  • Promoting businesses that contribute positively to society;
  • Meeting global stakeholders' expectations;
  • Fulfilling our responsibilities as a global citizen

Our Five Material Matters

In order to realise our corporate mission of creating a prosperous society in which
each individual can flourish; we have established the following five core themes for our sustainability activities.

  1. Inspire New Ways of Working

What does work mean to us? How can we work better? We will continue to evolve new ways of working to find paths for individuals to achieve their aspirations. Maximising human talent is our core business.

  1. Close the Opportunity Gap

We believe that the more people are free to pursue their passions, the better the future becomes. Closing the opportunity gap is a key factor for this. We have matched countless people and businesses in ways that have not been done before and will continue to do so.

We want to be an innovative, accessible and attractive employer for all our talent – both our own staff and temporary workers. An employer that provides a platform for them to maximise their unique talent.

  1. Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion

We celebrate diversity in nationality, race, religion, gender, age, disabilities, sexual orientation and gender identity, and more.

We respect and capitalise on each other's differences to promote creativity in the world.

Our aim is to achieve a diverse composition of employees within every level of the organisation, focusing on aspects such as gender and age, as well as on people with an (occupational) limitation or people who are otherwise further removed from the job market.

  1. Respect Human Rights

Our vision, ‘a world where people can follow their hearts’ starts with respecting human rights. We follow our Code of Conduct and underlying policies in which these essential rights are safeguarded.

  1. Conserve the Environment

We all have a common responsibility for the global environment. We strive to reduce our negative impact on the environment by addressing climate change, resource preservation and biodiversity conservation. We aim to enlighten society with our environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Our branches use office space and we often travel. This causes CO₂ emissions. We believe it is our responsibility to take measures to minimise these emissions. We have set up a CO₂ reduction plan for this purpose. In the past few years as a global business, we have progressively lowered our CO₂ emissions.

Sustainable Development Goals

We will pursue the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (‘SDGs’) that are associated with our five material matters, to contribute to global sustainability.

The SDGs that correspond to the critical issues identified by materiality analysis are as shown below. As can be seen from the focus themes, we consider human rights a crucial issue, recognising it as being at the root of all SDGs.

To us, CSR means making a positive contribution to our community.

This includes facilitating opportunity through work experience, charitable and volunteering efforts, and ensuring that our approaches to environmental sustainability and being an equal opportunities employer are carried out effectively.

We have a strict policy that prevents discrimination at all stages of employment, including promotion, recruitment, training, discipline, redundancy and pay reviews. We are fully committed to creating a working environment in which everyone is treated with dignity, respect and that is free from unlawful discrimination, victimisation or harassment on the following grounds:

  • Colour, race, nationality or ethnic origin
  • Sex
  • Marital status or gender reassignment
  • Disability of any kind
  • Religion or belief
  • Sexual orientation
  • Age
  • Pregnancy and maternity

60% of Advantage Resourcing UK’s employees are female and we pro-actively encourage women to progress in the workplace.

We provide the following initiatives to actively encourage maternity returners:
